This is where the biggest difference shows up, and where Halo Collar really edges ahead more for me.
SATELLAI does a solid job with boundary alerts. When your dog approaches or crosses a virtual boundary, the collar can issue a tone, vibration, or static correction—depending on how you set it up. You’re given flexibility, which is always a plus.
However, in terms of in-app training, SATELLAI is still kind of a work in progress here. You can use the in-app AI to get advice, but beyond that there isn’t a whole lot of guidance on training your dog to use the collar.
Halo leans much harder into training as the foundation, not just alerts. This system is built around Cesar Millan’s training philosophy (included with purchase) and focuses on:

- Progressive cues (sound → vibration → optional static)

First, let me just say upfront that I’ve never used static correction with Freya, regardless of the collar. Both systems allow you to avoid it entirely, which I appreciate. FYI for those that do use static, SATELLAI only offers three levels while Halo offers a much wider range.
Both collars emphasize that GPS fencing systems aren’t just “plop it on your dog and go” type devices. They both require training before your dog can be expected to get it right.
