Aligned to a healthy lifestyle, our dogs need frequent cleaning. Specifically, they should bathe regularly, and this is one of the toughest activities every dog owners face. Most dogs hate water. It is more like they hate taking a bath. They have no control over this activity which makes them panic and move in all sorts of direction. Often, we use a garden or shower hose or even a pail to clean them, but it never got easy! Imagine being able to give them a gentle and relaxing bath with a unique dog shower. It will make shower time so fun and easy! We recently found Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower that is designed to wash dogs indoor, and I’m so excited to share our experience so far.

Pet Wand PRO Pros and Features
Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower is designed like a water comb spray. The shape of the shower appears like a comb for bigger and full coverage of each body part. It has a gentle spray that will not hurt our dogs but strong enough to remove soap, shampoo, dirt, and suds. Adjust the setting to decrease or increase output and pressure. I found one feedback before buying that they finish bathing faster than before because the dog shower makes it simple to reach for all areas of the body, unlike a normal shower.
Thick or thin furred dogs like this shower. Most owners have trouble finding the right shower to help them and the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower surpassed everything we tried so far. Water reaches under thick coat with no trouble.
1. Long Flexible Hose with Suction Cup Hook
What I love most about this dog shower is that it comes with an 8-foot long hose that is flexible enough to reach the dog’s body from head to tail. You won’t have trouble in case your pet runs on corners of the bathroom. The best part is that you can not only wash dogs indoor, you can also connect the shower to an outdoor hose with the outdoor adapter. Bath your pet wherever you are both comfortable.
Furthermore, it comes with a suction cup hook for storage purposes. You can hang the shower wand during and after bath time, so it is conveniently stored in the bathroom. Hanging the shower mid-bath gives you the opportunity to lather your pet’s body with both hands for a more satisfying clean.
2. Makes Bath Time A Breeze
The main reason why I purchased the Waterpik Pro Dog Shower is that it promised to make bath time easier. Bathing my dog is one of the most tiring activities I face. My dog and I agree that bath time is generally upsetting. However, I still can’t ignore the responsibility of maintaining my dog’s proper hygiene.
Other dog showers have helped me with my difficulty before, but it didn’t last long. The dog showers immediately broke. Desperate to find help, I purchased the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower. Since then, regrets never crossed my mind because the dog shower exceeded my expectations. This pet wand pro saves my back and makes bath time a breeze! Exactly like in this video:
Having an 8 feet hose is very essential. The handle moved independently even after getting awkward angles, so the hose didn’t get in the way while rinsing. I discovered that the Waterpik Pet Wand Pro shower head swivels at the hose connection. It is very beneficial for me, remembering how tough it is to get a hose twisted under my dog. Because of this, I don’t have to twist the hose now and then while reaching every side of my dog.
I also realized that the curve shape of the wand is a big help, as it allowed me to clean every spot over and under my dog. The thumb switch also plays an essential role in making bath time more effective. Now, I can hold my dog with one hand and wash with the other. I am not bothered with easing my dog’s anxieties during bath time anymore because Waterpik allows me to prioritize my dog’s comfort.
The option of changing the water pressure or spray is also a big help. Running water makes my dog’s nervous which adds up to his anxieties of bath time. The Waterpik pro dog shower helped me to calm my dog and wash the soap out thoroughly!
I was also delighted to find out that the dog shower has a knob that allows me to switch between the pet wand and my regular shower head. The pet wand also comes with a nice hook up at the adapter where it hooks to the pet wand. Before, I endured the inconvenience of my previously owned dog shower that requires to be disconnected so that I can be able to use my standard shower. Now, it is so much less of a chore to bathe my dog!
3. No Brainer to Set-Up
Home tools are usually too complicated to set-up, and this has been my problem ever since. Due to my experience, I was worried about the installation process of the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand pro Dog Shower. Fortunately, the pet wand pro begs to differ. The installation of the dog shower was pretty simple, and it only took me a few minutes to set it up!
For outdoor installation, the first thing I did is to attach the outdoor diverter to my garden hose. The next thing I did was to screw the Waterpik hose to the adapter, then attached the wand onto the hose and with the yellow tag. The outdoor installation will be complete in three easy steps!
The indoor installation was easy to install too, just remove the shower head, screw the diverter onto the j-pipe in a clockwise direction, then attach the shower head to the diverter. The next steps will be screwing the hose onto the bottom part of the diverter, attaching the wand, and hanging it in the hook!
If you are still having difficulties with installing your pet wand pro, Waterpik offers a very useful user guide! You can find it on your package and online. Or if you are super lazy (like I am) just watch this YouTube video:
4. Long-lasting and Durable
There is a wide range of available dog showers in the market, so Waterpik’s version is not the first dog shower I used. I utilized dog showers cheaper than the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower before, which are all poorly made. Now, I regret wasting tons of money on dog showers that didn’t even last for months. I realized that my problem is that I’ve been settling for low-priced dog showers for so long.
Despite my experience with other dog showers, I still considered purchasing a more expensive version, which is the Waterpik pro dog shower. It didn’t disappoint me at all because the Waterpik pro dog shower is what I’ve been looking for! I’ve waited for years to own a dog sprayer that worth its price. Overall, the material of the product has good quality.
I’ve been using this dog shower for half a year, and I haven’t encountered issues ever since. However, I am worried about the water diverter that is made of plastic. Plastic diverters usually crack and break easily. I wouldn’t bother to pay extra dollars for a metal connector. I wish Waterpik could develop this problem to avoid further issues.
Before buying a product online, I spend a lot of time in reading customer feedbacks to ensure the quality of the product. Numerous customers have testified that they have been using their Waterpik pro dog shower for months and some even said that they are using it for a year!
On the other hand, some also said that their shower had some defects, which is unavoidable. Luckily, the manufacturer was kind enough to send replacements of the entire unit. You don’t have to worry too much about broken parts and malfunctions because the pro dog shower is backed up with a lifetime warranty!
5. Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower Lifetime Warranty
When I buy products, I always look if it is backed up by a warranty since that extends the lifetime and functionality of the item. Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower has a limited LIFETIME warranty. The manufacturer will replace damaged parts provided it has not been abused, purposely damaged, or repaired by someone else. They want to prioritize the quality and experience they provide to their clients. Based on other reviews, one client received a leaking shower head and successfully got a replacement right away after filing a report! I salute that kind of customer service!
Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower: Cons
While the Waterpik pet wand pro seems like your ultimate lifesaver, the product also has its downsides. The cons you can find below is a combined experience of mine and other clients that purchased the dog shower. Furthermore, these are also the things that the manufacturer can improve on for a more excellent product.
These are the common problem you may encounter with the pet wand pro. Other disadvantages that you can find besides the ones listed below may be a result of improper handling and misuse. Take note that a product’s operation still depends on how you use it. But don’t worry too much because the Waterpik pet wand pro is backed up with a lifetime warranty!
When compared with other dog showers, you can find the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower a bit too costly ($36). Also, its price may be a little high end for the product. Nevertheless, the dog shower was a significant investment that truly sped the tedious process of washing my dog. In fact, I saved more money by eliminating the trips to the groomer!
2. Little Trickle
Another disadvantage is there is a little trickle of water when turning off the dial on the wand. I wish that I could completely stop the water because the little trickle of water bounces right into me when hanging on the suction cup. This may be a slight inconvenience for some, but it might be a problem for others. I hope that Waterpik could improve on this one.
3. Plastic Diverter and Plastic Fittings of Hose
This might be the biggest disadvantage of the pet wand pro. Unfortunately, the Waterpik hose is not metal clad and has plastic fittings. It is somehow bothering because even if I am currently using my dog shower for months already, the poor quality of the hose doesn’t seem to be worth the price. Luckily, Waterpik is smart enough to offer a lifetime warranty.
For us, dog shower activity has been all fun and exciting since we purchased the Waterpik PPR-252 Wand Pro Dog Shower. The price may be too steep at first, but the convenience it gives helps us a lot. I definitely recommend dog owners to get this item for their pets.
