Every dog owner can testify that bathing dogs are one of the most challenging tasks of dog ownership. A dog and its owner may both agree that bath time is generally upsetting. However, maintaining your proper dog’s hygiene is a part of being a responsible dog parent. But did you know that you can make bath time less stressful for you and your furry friend? If bath time is upsetting for your dog, it can be because of your standard shower or garden hose. It is essential to use a dog bathing tool that helps in calming your beloved pooch. There are a lot of options on the market, but luckily, I found the best one for my dog! The Rinse 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer helped me to bring a positive bath time experience for my dog and here are the reasons why.

Cons of Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer

Unfortunately, even a feature-rich product like Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer has its downsides. For this part, we assessed the feedbacks from numerous clients who purchased the dog shower. Together with my experience, the disadvantages we listed below are the most common problems most clients have encountered using the dog sprayer.

Any disadvantage you can find besides the ones listed below can be a result of improper handling and carelessness. Remember, a product’s performance still depends on how you use it. Idea Factory Inc. ensures that every dog shower is free of defects under regular use when properly installed and maintained following the instructions.

Don’t worry too much about malfunctions and failure because the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer comes with a one year warranty. The company also offers a manual useful for installing the shower and instructions for proper care.

1. Inconvenient Use

Unfortunately, using the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer has a slight inconvenience. Unlike a more expensive dog shower, the Rinse Ace dog shower doesn’t have a switch for quickly changing the use of shower and dog sprayer. I have to disconnect the Rinse Ace dog sprayer to I to use the regular shower head and vice versa.

It would be great if I could leave the shower connected, rather than having to connect it to the adapter for every use. I wish that Idea Factory Inc. would develop the feature. I’d be happy to pay extra dollars for the development of the dog shower.

Nevertheless, the inconvenience is just a little trouble for me. The shower is easy to connect and disconnect. In fact, the inconvenience could prevent the dog shower from malfunctions and failure because it will be stored after use. It wouldn’t be a problem for you especially if you have little kids around that loves to play in the shower!

2. Plastic Adapter

The biggest downside of this dog shower is its connector is made of plastic and feels flimsy. While the unit is durable, problems can mostly occur with the diverter that connects the Rinse Ace shower to the shower head. Some clients reported that they encountered a small amount of leak when using the dog shower while some said that the product fits perfectly with their bathroom shower.

Apparently, not all wall mounts are equally made. Therefore, the diverter could roughly fit some wall mounts, but it can also fit some perfectly. I am also assuming that Idea Factory Inc. is aware of this issue, thus, providing a plenty amount of Teflon tape. It may seem a smart move, but I’d still prefer a sturdy metal connector over a low-quality plastic connector.

3. No Bathtubs

Sadly, the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer is only made for shower heads. The dog shower can’t be connected to a bathtub. It won’t be a problem if your tub is near the shower head. However, for those who have a tub far from the shower head, your dog wouldn’t be able to enjoy a dip during bath time. This disadvantage is just a little convenience, but it would be more fun if my dog can play in the tub when bathing!

1. Gentle and Calming

Getting your dog to love bath time may seem impossible, but you can help make baths more tolerable for the both of you. Many dog owners overlook the importance of controlling the water pressure during bath time. Dousing your dogs with heavy running water can make them nervous, making them dread bath time more. This has been my problem with using our standard shower.

The Rinse Ace 3 Way Shower offers three sprayer patterns that allow you to adjust the water pressure. The “Gentle” setting offers soft, full coverage of drenching spray. The “Pulsating” setting is a deep-down and massaging spray, which is also the most calming. The setting is the best option for small pups who are being taught to bathe. Lastly, the “Concentrated” setting offers a powerful and invigorating spray.

I loved how I can change the water pressure according to my dog’s liking. His favorite setting is the “Pulsating” spray since its very calming! In fact, many customers mentioned this on Amazon (read over 600 reviews here).

Besides the water pressure, the water flow produced by the shower can also be controlled. The Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower has a variable flow lever that switches from light to full, and can also be turned off! Unlike standard showers or garden hoses, you have complete control over the water to make bath time more gentle and calming for your dog.

2. Cleans Well

A simple shower and hose cannot reach the innermost layer of your dog and hard to reach areas. It is one of the reasons why I bought the Rinse Ace 3 Way Dog Shower, considering that it is designed for solving my problem. The shower is specially produced for muddy paws, snow removal, whole dog wash, and flea and tick shampoo application. While the three sprayer settings allow for adjustable water pressure, it is also for a thorough and deeper clean!

The “Gentle” spray is used for getting your dog to get wet quickly and rinsing the “hard-to-reach” underbelly area. Since the setting produces a soft water pressure, it is the most ideal for cleaning the sensitive areas near the face. On the other hand, the “Concentrated” setting is perfect for rinsing delicate target areas, paws, and parts that are difficult to clean. Now, I am assured that my dog receives a proper clean!

3. More Comfortable and Easier Bath Time

Holding my dog to prevent him from running while scrubbing him is part of our bath routine. My priority has always been easing my dog’s anxieties while getting him clean. However, it was impossible to do  because turning the faucet off from time to time adds up to the burden. I have to reach the faucet to turn off the water which eventually results to a wet dog escaping from my hold.

The Rinse Ace 3 Way Shower saved me from trouble since it can be turned off at the handpiece in just one switch. Furthermore, the shower’s 8 feet hose helped me to choose the most comfortable spot for getting my dog clean. He always fears the faucet because of the sound of running water it produces. It also made washing every area of my huge lab easy. Now, my guilt is taken away whenever I’m cleaning my dog because I can comfort him from time to time.

My dog still doesn’t like baths, but the Rinse Ace shower helped me to alleviate his fears. Now, my dog doesn’t try to escape and hide whenever he hears the word “bath.” Using the Rinse Ace shower allowed me to keep the water out of my dog’s eyes and get the shampoo out of his fur while easing his anxieties of the bath. It is a perfect tool if you also struggle with a wet dog trying to run away during bath time.

4. No Brainer To Set-Up and Use

Using the Rinse Ace 3 Way Shower was easy, but the installation was much easier! It comes with a shower connector that clicked-in effortlessly and flawlessly. I loved how it snaps within seconds, so when you are done, you can store it immediately store it away. I was also surprised to see plenty of Teflon tape provided.

The installation is simply connecting a 3-way attachment between the shower head and connector. Once it’s done, snap in the quick connect and removable shower hose. The shower acts as a shower when the dog sprayer is disconnected. When it is hooked up, the water comes out the dog sprayer instead. After using the dog sprayer, I twist off the attachment hose then the shower goes back to its regular use. Check this video and see how simple it is.

5. Handy

I do not only use the Rinse Ace dog sprayer for bathing my dog. When I am done washing him, I use the sprayer to clean the shower or tub. It makes my task so much easier! Sometimes, when the sprayer is still connected, I use it to clean some areas of the bathroom. The 8 feet hose is truly handy!

6. Budget-Friendly

With only $18.98 on Amazon, you can get a dog sprayer, Teflon tape, and shower connector in one package! The package has everything you need to start using the Rinse Ace 3 Way Shower Sprayer. Note that you don’t need any tools to set it up. To be honest, I was hesitating to buy the product since it was a lot cheaper than other dog sprayers available in the market. Now, I don’t regret buying the Rinse Ace 3 Way Shower Sprayer ever since!

You can also save money by terminating the trip to grooming salons. Now, you don’t have to worry about the transportation and groomer expenses because the Rinse Ace sprayer cleans your dog easier with a grooming salon-quality showerhead. By controlling the water flow of the shower, it does not only offers convenience but also allows you to save water. I am now at ease since I don’t have to worry about leaving the faucet on to catch my dog.

7. One Year Warranty

Whenever I buy tools, especially if online, I always look if it’s backed up with a warranty. I was delighted to find that the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer is backed up with a one year warranty! To obtain warranty service, directly email the company, Idea Factory Inc., or call (800) 867-4673.

Be certain that the damaged product is not due to misuse, product alteration or improper care and maintenance to avail the warranty. Note that you don’t even have to use the warranty if your shower is handled with care!

8. Small and Lightweight

The Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer measures 12 x 0.5 x 0.5 inches and only weighs 8 ounces. The shower is also easy to grip because of its relatively small size. Unlike other dog showers I have used before, the Rinse Ace shower is incredibly lightweight. It is very ideal for those who own multiple dogs to help reduce fatigue when washing the dogs.

The Final Verdict for Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer

Bath time is still not listed as one of my dog’s favorite things to do, but he doesn’t try to run and hide anymore when it’s time to bath! There was a huge difference from using the Rinse Ace shower compared to using a standard shower and hose. With the help of this dog shower, bath time became less stressful and exhausting for my dog and me. Overall, the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer is a brilliant product at a reasonable price point.
