Most Innovative and Best Dog Bathing Tools in 2021
Flying Pig Dog Grooming Portable Bath Tub
I own a Flying Pig Pet Grooming Portable Bath Tub. I stare at the Tuorren 50 and the Flying Pig (the items I review below) with salivating mouths and googly eyes dreaming of only having them but knowing that I can’t afford it nor have a space for them in my home… but I have space for this portable bathtub and I can actually afford it without my partner going mad at me.
It has almost the same size as the Flying Pig 38 inches with its respectable 37.5-inch bowl, but it is much lighter because it is made of heavy-duty plastic material which is effective for washing dogs. The stand is made of stainless steel and like its bigger brothers above its leveller is adjustable for uneven floors, the difference mainly is that it is portable, lightweight and can be accessed on all sides.
Aquapaw Pet Bathing Tool
The Aquapaw Pet Bathing Tool is the next evolution of the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer. It combines some of the principles of the said product but the Aquapaw just utilizes them better or executes them more flawlessly. Plus, the Aquapaw can be used outdoors to scrub your dog. I posted my big Aquapaw review here. If used indoors, the Aquapaw attaches the same way as your Rinse Ace Pet Shower Sprayer, but it is more innovative washing tool because it has a unique button switch to make sure that the water comes out on the Aquapaw and not on the showerhead. One push and it returns the water flow back to the showerhead if needed. I love this design because the buttons are positioned in such a way that you don’t mess the settings up. If you are using it outdoor, it can connect to any hose or spigot.
The second thing that we love about the Aquapaw is the simple turn on and turn off button for the water flow that is located in the palm of the item. This tool just gave us dog owners a way to wash our pets using two hands, while maintaining the ability to hold the dog in place, pour shampoo on the dog, lather them, brush them, and rinse them. Doing all these without having to sacrifice one hand or dedicate it to using a hose is just awesome. The Aquapaw can be one of the best dog bathing products that we ever had.
Waterpik PPR-252 Pet Wand Pro Dog Shower Attachment
If you are a serious pet owner and you have watched a lot of dog bathing videos you have probably seen the Waterpik PPR-252 Pet Wand Pro Dog Shower Attachment. I usually see it on veterinary and dog grooming videos as something that the pros use. The Waterpik Wand has a unique shape that is designed to provide full-body coverage when washing dogs. It is designed for one-handed operation and can be used indoor or outdoor. It comes with an eight-foot hose and a shower head connector for indoor use.
The pros love the Waterpik Wand because of its patented Watercomb spray that also comes with a narrow spray for concentrated water flow. I love how ergonomically designed the tool is, the rubber grip feels heavy and secured the rotating, thumb controlled water control is easy to use and very, very effective plus the storage hook at the end, makes it easier to prop it on the suction cup hook that comes with it. I also described the cons of the product in my full review. The Waterpik is best when you have great water pressure at home because the 13-inch wide Watercomb spray can quickly soak much larger and hairier dogs, and the rinsing is very, very easy. Shower and bathing time is dramatically lessened making the fuss that comes along with washing a dog very minimal.
Tuorren 50″ Professional Stainless Steel Pet Dog Grooming Tub
Let’s make room for the big boys on this innovative list with the Tuorren 50″ Professional Stainless Steel Grooming Tub and it’s our #1 choice when it comes to the best dog grooming tubs. When you say washing dogs, this monster metal grooming bath was built for washing dogs. This is what real-life vets and serious dog grooming businesses have.
Most dog grooming salons or spas have these or something that nearly resembles it. It is made of rust-resistant 16 gauge 304 stainless steel which makes it super durable yet, easy to maintain and can be thoroughly disinfected without worrying about the effects on its actual build. It can hold even the biggest of the big furry pups. Makers pegged its capacity at a massive 260 pounds and call it an all-in-one pet bathing tub.
It comes in at 50 inches for its large dog bathing station. And while it is indeed a monster of a grooming tub, it’s quite versatile because its back-splash and side-splashes can be removed for greater manoeuvrability when cleaning it. It also has tub doors for easy accommodation and adjustable floor grates to change its height to wash your dog properly. Even the most demanding needs of professional groomers can be accommodated in this beast of an indoor dog stainless bath.
Flying Pig Grooming 38″ Stainless Steel Dog Pet Bathing Tub
The Flying Pig Grooming 38″ Stainless Steel Dog Bath Tub comes in as a great medium size alternative to the monster Morphon 38″. It is built the same with solid rust-resistant 16 gauge 304 stainless steel like the Morphon 38 inches but with a smaller dimension coming in at only 38 inches by 26 inches and 38 inches high. Even the height is slightly smaller at 57 inches from the floor to the actual basin floor.
Despite its slightly imposing especially for homeowners, it still dog-friendly because drain works well with any common plumbing configuration and the leg levelers are adjustable in height to fit any home or grooming salon. It is a perfect stainless steel dog bathing station alternative if you have smaller spaces or smaller needs that are too big for the Tuorren 50. Read my full review on Flying Pig here.
Woof Washer Dog 360° Washer
Let’s start things off with probably one of the more unique and innovative product on this list, the Woof washer Dog 360° Washer. I have listed my full review for Woof washer here. This particular product is exactly what its name says, it is a 360 degrees washer for pets. Basically, it is a shower attachment for bathing your dog that is best used or is more recommended for outdoor use so basically, it is a “circle hose” or “hose ring” or “cleaner 360-degree shower.” It is essentially a plastic ring that you hook up to your garden house and it sprays water to your dog by letting him pass through the plastic loop. If you’re imagining it to work the same way that an automatic car wash works, then you are not far off. The Woof washer Pet 360° Washer comes with a shampoo pump and is modestly priced at around less than a dollar. It is adjustable to fit small dogs and even bigger size dogs because the plastic loop is adjustable. We live in a multiple dog household, and base on our experience some dogs tend to love the Woof washer Pet 360° Washer and some would not. You will have a harder time washing overly active or hyperactive dogs because they will not stand and stay while you wash them. The old, slow, and obedient ones tend to favour this more, I think the slow massaging effect adds a lot to it because of its hoop design.
Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer
The Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer is probably the most no-nonsense, straight-up product there is on this dog bathing systems reviews. You might say, “But I thought this was the most innovative bathing tools list? Where’s the innovative part?” The innovative part in the Rinse Ace 3 Way Dog Shower Sprayer is the fact that it is easy to install and would fit most shower head connections, plus it’s a one-hand operation that is straight-up effective. It is also very easy to use and can be stored or be left in the shower connector if you are comfortable with it that way.
To install the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer first you remove your shower head, install the connector or adaptor with the quick connect shower head that comes with the package and reinstall your shower head. To use it, simply connect the eight-foot house that comes with the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer to the quick connect shower head and you are ready to go. It has three settings gentle full spray for general washing and rinsing of your pets, pulsating massage for the slower and relax wash and the concentrated spray which comes in handy when you find stubborn spots with packed dirt. You can also adjust the flow of water with the simple thumb nub that the Rinse Ace 3 Way Pet Shower Sprayer has.
Bissell Barkbath QT
Here is another thing that you have probably seen that professionals used in those dog grooming videos, the Barkbath QuietTone Portable Bath. It is an all in one system that can be used indoor or outdoor or in any room in your house. Yes, you can use the Barkbath in any room in your house. It is basically a dog bathing system that cleans the dog using a no-rinse shampoo and also sucks the water and dirt out so you can dispose of it later. It is quite possibly the next evolution in effective ways of washing dogs.
The makers of the Barkbath boast that you only need 48 ounces of water to use the system and it comes with a 13-foot hose. It is very innovative in the way that it reverses the traditional dog cleaning method where we clean our dogs from the fur down to the skin, whereas the Barkbath cleans the dog from the skin up towards the fur and quickly sucks the water off for storage so that you would have a shorter drying time for your dog’s hair. The Barkbath comes with their No Rinse Shampoo, Microfiber Math for the unit, a microfiber cloth for face and paw and a training video that will teach you how to train your dogs to not be scared of the unit. All in all the Bissel Barkbath QuitTone was created to make bath time easier that even amateurs can use. Read my personal review about Barkbath here and make sure to check customers reviews on Amazon.
Wondurdog All-In-One Quality Dog Shower Kit
The Wondurdog All-In-One Quality Dog Shower Kit acts and performs just like most of the dog shower attachments here. Its uniqueness and innovation lie in its wonderfully designed shower brush head feature aside from the ergonomic handles it has the splash shield which also acts as directional support for the water. It has large rubber teeth on the inside and small rubber teeth on the outside rim which helps brush down dog fur and soothes and massages them which helps soothes them and relax them while you shower them.
The rubber teeth also provide deep cleaning and in our experience works best when you brush your paw with it because it gets inside the deep crevices. Like I mentioned a while ago, we are a family with multiple dogs. We have the Wondurdog Shower Kit installed in our family cabin up the mountains, and I tell there’s no greater satisfaction than seeing four squeaky clean fur balls after a morning of hiking up trails. All of that because we have a Wondurdog installed in one of the bathrooms. It is very easy to use for bathing your pooch.
YOO.MEE Pets Shower Attachment
YOO.MEE Shower Attachment is the same as most showerheads connected dog washer featured in this list. Although it mainly attaches to the showerhead, you can also use this indoor or if you are living in quite a large house, you can also install it in your tub spout. It has a gentle washing feature that some user have reportedly used it to bathe their child. I don’t have a baby, but I do have four furry babies and it worked quite well at bath time for them.
The water diverters are quick and easy to install, and they fit most types of pipes. If you have a customized bathroom along with their fixtures, please do take the necessary measurements and check online if they are comparable, there have been some who reportedly do not fit customized bathroom pipes. What I noticed with the YOO.MEE Dog Shower is that it uses a very heavy and solid Brass Connection Diverter Valve to switch the water flow between your normal showerhead and the tub spout spray. Its tub spray cabinet and hand shower are durable ABS engineering grade plastic which is great for bathing your pup. The hose it comes with is a bit on the short end as compared to another hose in this list coming along at more or less six feet. It’s more than substantial to fit the need though so don’t worry.
Jasonwell Foldable Dog Bath Pool
The Jasonwell Foldable Dog Pool is a very, very fun product that can be easily used to wash your dog. It is one of those types of products which started as a “something I want to try” to “something I want to keep because I and my pets have started to love it.”
The Jasonwell portable bathing station is the reason why I decided to shift between simple washing to full-on dog baths. Heck, my young nephews pull it out on a hot summer day and lounge on it. We even tried to put ice and beer on it one hot summer night and we enjoyed every minute with it. It is a portable bath and mini-pool which needs no air or inflation to set up. It also has bottom and side drains for easy maintenance or easy to fill because you can attach a hose to the spigots.
It is made of very durable PVC which is extra tough and extra thick, and along with a slip-resistant material makes it a very, very stable bathing pool. It comes in five available sizes small at 32 x 8 inches, medium at 39.5 x 12 inches, large at 48 x 12 inches, extra-large at 55.1 x 12 inches, and extra, extra-large 63 x 12 inches. Just make sure that you trim your dog’s nails before they come in, some dogs can be scratchy because of excitement, and while the Jasonwell Foldable Bath Pool is durable because it is not an inflatable dog bath, it is not indestructible.
Bailey Bear Porta Tubby Collapsible Bath Tub
The Bailey Bear Tub banks on what the Jasonwell Foldable Dog Peth Bath Pool cannot do and that is to be small. It comes in at 31.5 inches x 17.3 inches x 8.7 inches which is perfect for small to medium size dogs who are on the slightly smaller side. And while it is small, the Bailey Bear portable collapsible bathtub is great to wash your dog at a convenient height.
It comes with two storage trays where you can keep shampoos, brushes and other dog grooming stuff. The quick drain plug is conveniently placed that you can drain it over a sink or tub with no problem. And what I like about the compact nature of the Bailey Bear is, it is easy to store and convenient to transport tool for bathing your pooch. It is not bulky and collapses to about 2.4 inches thin when, not in use and did I mention that despite its small stature, it is quite sturdy yet very, very lightweight with cool grips. Basically, it’s a mobile dog bath that you can carry around.
In conclusion, all the products listed here are crazy innovative ways to wash your dog in 2021. There is no one product included in this list that does not deserve the bathing time for your dogs, stick to what your needs are and find a bathing and shower product that fits your need and your budget. And be like me, keep dreaming of bathing monsters like the Morphon and the Flying Pig, but still keeping your budget, your dog’s needs and your partner’s temper in mind.
